The following requisition signed by 25 Guardians, was yesterday handed to your Clerk, and he declined to call the special meeting asked for. We therefore humbly request that you will attend the Board Meeting tomorrow Saturday, when a deputation from the Inhabitants of Thirsk will seek to be heard.

To the Clerk of the Board of Guardians, THIRSK UNION,

May 28th. 1879,

We the undersigned being Guardians and Members of the Rural Sanitary Authority of the Thirsk Union, hereby request you to summon a special Meeting of the above named Sanitary Authority on next Board Meeting, viz;- the seventh day of June, to meet a deputation from the Ratepayers of Thirsk & Sowerby, and to receive an explanation of the Kepwick Water Scheme and a Resolution will be submitted to the said Sanitary Authority, to Petition the House of Lords in favor of the Kepwick Scheme.
